Film Festivals Archives - A Place Called Desire

While awards and accolades are always appreciated, the team at LS3 Studios strives to keep them in perspective. We are grateful that our film “A Place Called Desire” has received some recognition, but we know these honors do not define the worth of our work.

The awards highlight a few strengths, but there are always areas that could be improved. We do not rest on our laurels or let the praise go to our heads. There are so many talented filmmakers in the world, many equally or more deserving who may not have received honors.

Our goal was simply to tell an engaging story and connect with viewers. The fact that some critics and festival judges responded positively is a bonus. But we realize judges have subjective tastes that should not dictate how we measure success.

The most rewarding accolade is hearing from everyday viewers that our film resonated with them. While we appreciate the formal honors, we know they reflect the subjective opinions of a few. What matters most is producing work that genuinely touches people’s lives.

We are thankful for the recognition A Place Called Desire has received. But we remain focused on learning and improving for the next project. Awards represent one perspective, but the diverse spectrum of audiences provides the most valuable feedback.
